Quepos is a sleepy fishing town on the beautiful Pacific coast of Costa Rica. It is ajacent to a national park neamed Manuel Anotnio which includes some of the nicest beaches in Costa Rica. In between the town and the natinoal park there is small range of small mountains and there is a road that goes right over the top of the mountains to the beach. There is about 8 miles from the town to the back/park. On that road, apart from an incredible view, there are tons ofnice hotels and restaurants! Nicest place I've ever been, and after seeing it I had to move here! You can see the mountains (or really big hills?) behind the boat in the picutre behind the boat.
The national park is amazing and has been rated by national geographic as one of the top 10 beaches in the world. Teeming with wildlife, there are monkeys, sloths, and tons of amzing exotic birds everywhere you look. Definitely a place you want to hang out on your vacation! Also, Costa Rica is often called the land of eternal summer as it is always between 75-85 degrees and generally always sunny before 4pm. For half the year it rains in the evenings after 4 (May to October), for half the year it doesn't rain at all (November to April).
Other than the awesome Manuel Antonio national park, there are also tons of other beaches here, including Playa del Rey, Bisceane, Playita, Puerto Escondido, and the public Manuel Antonio park. The area has an average temperature of 82 in the day and 72 at night yearround making it some of the most modest weather anywhere in the world. If you would rather go for a nature walk, they have everything from the challenging cathedral point to the lazy and pretty Perezoso Trail. All nature walks would have an incredible Ocean View and tons of wildlife like sloths, Toucans, Scarlett Macaws, and four types of Monkeys. Speaking of monkeys, check out the titi Monkey shown above at the pool outside the Verde Mar Hotel. All hotels here have tons of wildlifes!
Quepos itself is a town rich with history. It was first visited by Westeners in 1519 when the Spaniard Ponce de Leon was hunting for his fountain of Youth. It was inhabitied by the Quepo indians who didn't take well to visitors. Years later, the lands around Quepos where used for bananas and then later, during the Vietnam war, the US started by coconut oil to use as Napalm! Although not for Napalm, the coconut oil planations are still in operation. In the 1980's, a large group of Americans decided to call Quepos there home because of cheap real estate prices and incredible views. Some of the original Gringo settlements are still here and are now known as the Barba Roja resaurant, the Mariposa Hotel, and the beachfornt bar Mar and Sombra!
February to April 2014
High season is here, and we are seeing double digit sailfish bites everyday offshore! Weather should be perfect, flat seas, no rain, make sure to bring sunscreen as it's going to be bright out there! We should still see some Marlin and Dorado as well, but the sailfish will be thick and it'll be hard to get the bait passed those aggresive and fast fish! Inshore there should be quite a few sardine schools around giving us the option of going after snapper and snook in addition to our monster roosterfish which we regularly catch. It'll be some great fishing and we're filling up quick!
Want to try the most exotic fishing trip of your life, but worried about details? Let us take care of you! We can handle all the work, and you can just enjoy the vacation. From hotels to transport, we find you the best places and the best deals. I work here full time searching for the nicest hotels and the lowest prices. Costa Rica is the most stable and safe country in Latin America as well. We love questions, just ask us anything and we'll be glad to guide you to all the highlights that this beautiful country has to offer! Costa Rica is more than just pretty beaches and year round summer! After you have been out on the cobalt blue pacific in my 32 foot Ocean Master catching huge fish, you should explore the rest of this country. There is an awesome beach only 5 minutes from the boat dock called Manuel Anotnio beach and it's amazing! Also, there are active volcanoes with hot water parks, cloud forests, ATV rides, zip line tours, white water rafting, and awesome hiking and horseback trails scattered all over this sportsmans paradise. With so much to do, there will never be a dull moment. Ask us questions, we love to help! I have personally enjoyed everyplace I recommend, and I will make sure you find the places you will remember forever! It only took one trip here before I decided to make the move, let me send you to the same places that made me fall in love with this paradise. Who's knows, maybe you just won't leave :)

Providing a personal touch to the World Class charter boat offshore and inshore sportfishing in Quepos Costa Rica. We are a personally run SportFishing Chrater boat operating out of Beautiful Quepos Manuel Anotnio in the state of Puntarenas, Costa Rica. A short distance to most things here on the Pacific we are only 30 minutes from most of the Rental houses in Dominical and Uvita. 45 minutes to the North, we have Los Suenos Marina in Herradura, Jaco. We are also a 2 hour drive or 20 minute flight from the capital, San Jose. We specialize in offering World class sportfishing for billfish species including sailfish, black marlin, blue marlin, and striped marlin. Other offshore and inshore fish that we target are Dorado, (aka dolphin, Mahi Mahi) yellowfin tuna, amberjack, snapper, and rooster fish.
Quepos Fishing
Quepos is the premier fishing spot in all of Costa Rica. Located on the Pacific side, in the center of the country's coast, we have the perfect position to hit various fishing hotspots, often on the same fishing grounds as charter boats from Los Suenos and Dominical. The Pacific in front of Quepos is also sheltered by the Osa and Guanacaste peninsulas, making Quepos the smoothest place to fish in Costa RIca. Waves are rarely over 3 feet, and from November to April rarely over 1 foot. That makes Quepos perfect for the firsttimer, or even a Sportfishing pro who doesn't want to fo home banged up!
Quepos Sportfishing / Charter Boats
Quepos has an awesome charter fleet. There are quite a few nice charter boats fishing in Quepos with good captains. We are friends with everybody, and if you are ooking for something bigger or smaller, let us give you our discount and get you out on the water for the agency price! I would love to get you setup with anything at all here, let me know what you need and I can make it happen!
Costa Rica SportFishing
Costa Rica is not only home to great fishing, but is a perfect place for your next family vacation! Apart from the great beaches and fishing, there are tons of different climates and elevations, with volcanoes, Cloud Forests, and raging white water rivers. In aspect to fishing, the Pacific side is known for its Marlin and Pacific Sailfish, while the Atlantic side is where you find the tarpon Tarpon. We chose to fish the Pacific because I love and specialize in fishing Marlin and Sailfish.
Manuel Antonio Hotels
Located right next to Manuel Anotnio national Park and Beaches, Quepos is home to the best sportfishing anywhere. While you are here, no reason not to try out one of the cliff dwelling-ocean view hotels. Let's make this an unforgettable trip, hotels here have the best views in the world at prices that are on par or lower than most average American hotels! Ater all, that's why we vacation in Latin America!
Costa Rica Sportfishing
Although there are no fishing seasons and catch limits in Costa Rica, we still don't like to kill everything we get on the line. We have a strict release all billfish policy, that includes releasing both sailfish and Marlin. We do like fish eaters on board though, and we do allow customers to keep meat gamefish. Expect to have a good chance at catching Dorado, Yellow Fin Tuna, Amberjack or Snapper that you can bring to local restaurants after the trip.
Quepos Fishing Adventures
We are not a booking agency and make our money as a Charter fleet. I personally own and drive the boat on this website, and you are communicating directly with the captain of the trip. There are tons of other people out there selling trips at a higher price, so just be careful. Even if you don't book here, make sure you book directly with the boat owner so you don't get overcharged. Always ask the person you book with if they will be driving the boat. If they aren't, there is a good chance they are just upselling it.
