Prices listed are for the whole boat for the day. We recommend bringing up to four people, but can do a few more if needed. The price includes all the food and drinks, and the only thing you will need to bring is 13 dollars a person the morning of the trip for a one month fishing license.
I looked at some other boats and your cheaper. Why?-->We are cheaper because we want to fish more often. The less we charge, the more often we get to fish! Also, most websites are booking agents and they don't really own a boat, just upsell other boats by 20 percent or more. We also have a brand new motor that means we burn usually half of what other similar boats burn. Everything combines to make us the lowest price, best equipped boat fishing in Quepos!
The prices include fishing and what else?
-->Other than great fishing and awesome memories, all the food and drinks are included in the price. We provide all the tackle and bait as well, and the boat always has at least one mate to help you with the fishing!
Is it going to be rough?
-->There are two seasons here, flat and flatter. We have maybe 10 days a year where it's rough, and maybe one or two days a year we can't fish. From November to April, it's almost perfectly flat. From May to October, it is usually pretty calm, but those are the months where we can have those 10 rough days. So usually flat, hardly ever rough.
Do you have a GPS and VHF Radio?
-->We have more elecronics on our boat than any other boat in Quepos. GPS, a Huge Sonar, 2 VHFs, radar, and an awesome pair of Stabilized binoculars that can find birds or debris at 4 miles!
When should I plan my trip to Quepos? Is one time of the year better?
-->Here in Quepos, there is always something biting! We do have our big billfish season from November to April. November and December usually have More Marlin and Dorado, and January until April are usually filled with good numbers of sailfish. May to October usually brings awesome Snapper and Amberjacks on the bottom. There are still some Marlin and sailfish out, usually splitting the day up between bottom fishing and topwater trolling. Always something to catch fishing in Quepos!
Are hotels cheaper in Costa Rica than the US?
-->We have a hotel page with prices and picture you can check out here: Hotels Page.Usually, they are similar to US prices with a much better view. We think the nicest hotel here is the Mariposa. We can set everything up for you, just let us know when you are coming!
What can I do when not fishing?
-->There are so many things to do here. We have zipline tours, ATV tours, diving, horseback, awesome beaches and everything you can think of to do outdoors except snow skiing! :)
Do you offer help setting up my trips?
-->Let me know when you are coming and where you would like to say and I'll take care of everything!
What do I do if I have questions about something that isn't related to fishing?
-->Ask me anything at all, I love questions! It's always fun to help out in anyway I can. I was a tourist here before Imoved, and I know what I enjoyed and what I didn't and I'd love to help you have the best trip possible. Anything at all, just ask!
Penthouse suite at the Mariposa:
February to April 2014
High season is here, and we are seeing double digit sailfish bites everyday offshore! Weather should be perfect, flat seas, no rain, make sure to bring sunscreen as it's going to be bright out there! We should still see some Marlin and Dorado as well, but the sailfish will be thick and it'll be hard to get the bait passed those aggresive and fast fish! Inshore there should be quite a few sardine schools around giving us the option of going after snapper and snook in addition to our monster roosterfish which we regularly catch. It'll be some great fishing and we're filling up quick!

One of the most diverse places on Earth, Costa Rica has much more than just the awesome beaches which are 5 minutes from the docks. If you have the time, it's worth a trip to the Volcano Arenal, a very active Volcano with a slew of Hot Water Parks at the base. And for the hiking and adreniline type, check out MonteVerde. Who knows, maybe once you get here, you just won't want to leave:)
Who We Are:
We are personally involved in making your trip a first class offshore and inshore sportfishing experience in Costa Rica. We are based in the Manuel Anotnio and Quepos area of Puntarenas, Costa Rica. We are only a short 45 minute drive South of Los Suenos, Herradura and Jaco. We are only 30 minutes north of Dominical and Uvita, and it is only 20 minutes or 2 hours by car from San jose. Our main focus is sportfishing for large billfish including Sailfish, Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, and Striped Marlin. Other fish we like to go after are Dorado, (aka dolphin, Mahi Mahi) yellowfin tuna, amberjack, snapper, and rooster fish (inshore).
Quepos Fishing
Quepos is the premier fishing spot in all of Costa Rica. Located on the Pacific side, in the center of the country's coast, we have the perfect position to hit various fishing hotspots, often on the same fishing grounds as charter boats from Los Suenos and Dominical. The Pacific in front of Quepos is also sheltered by the Osa and Guanacaste peninsulas, making Quepos the smoothest place to fish in Costa RIca. Waves are rarely over 3 feet, and from November to April rarely over 1 foot. That makes Quepos perfect for the firsttimer, or even a Sportfishing pro who doesn't want to fo home banged up!
Quepos Sportfishing / Charter Boats
Quepos has an awesome charter fleet. There are quite a few nice charter boats fishing in Quepos with good captains. We are friends with everybody, and if you are ooking for something bigger or smaller, let us give you our discount and get you out on the water for the agency price! I would love to get you setup with anything at all here, let me know what you need and I can make it happen!
Costa Rica SportFishing
Costa Rica is not only home to great fishing, but is a perfect place for your next family vacation! Apart from the great beaches and fishing, there are tons of different climates and elevations, with volcanoes, Cloud Forests, and raging white water rivers. In aspect to fishing, the Pacific side is known for its Marlin and Pacific Sailfish, while the Atlantic side is where you find the tarpon Tarpon. We chose to fish the Pacific because I love and specialize in fishing Marlin and Sailfish.
Manuel Antonio Hotels
Located right next to Manuel Anotnio national Park and Beaches, Quepos is home to the best sportfishing anywhere. While you are here, no reason not to try out one of the cliff dwelling-ocean view hotels. Let's make this an unforgettable trip, hotels here have the best views in the world at prices that are on par or lower than most average American hotels! Ater all, that's why we vacation in Latin America!
Costa Rica Sportfishing
Although there are no fishing seasons and catch limits in Costa Rica, we still don't like to kill everything we get on the line. We have a strict release all billfish policy, that includes releasing both sailfish and Marlin. We do like fish eaters on board though, and we do allow customers to keep meat gamefish. Expect to have a good chance at catching Dorado, Yellow Fin Tuna, Amberjack or Snapper that you can bring to local restaurants after the trip.
Quepos Fishing Adventures
We are not a booking agency and make our money as a Charter fleet. I personally own and drive the boat on this website, and you are communicating directly with the captain of the trip. There are tons of other people out there selling trips at a higher price, so just be careful. Even if you don't book here, make sure you book directly with the boat owner so you don't get overcharged. Always ask the person you book with if they will be driving the boat. If they aren't, there is a good chance they are just upselling it.
