Hi, my name is Captain John, I am originally from Rural Colorado, and I love fishing! Look at this monster Johnny caught on our 28 footer!

Big sailfish day out today with John W on our 30 footer, today he released 15 sailfish and had a nice Marlin on as well! Fishing has been awesome all this month and shows no sign of slowing down, looking forward to some great days out fishing here in Quepos Costa Rica!

This is how we do family time Quepos Fishing style!

Been lots of sailfish around, John W on our 30 foot gamefisherman has been going double digits on sailfish released every other day, and getting several fish per day. Mike has been hot with the Marlin lately, he has had several big Blacks in the last week, and check out this rare but big Wahoo! Fishing has been really good! Great fishing here in Quepos Costa Rica!

This year for Christmas, Capt Mike on our 32 foot Stress Reeliever 1 decide he was going to get everybody on board a reel hooked up to a sailfish! After everybody on board caught a sailfish, Mike decided to switch things up a bit and spend the next couple of hours hooked up to this nice Black Marlin! Fishing has been epic so far this December, we have had tons and tons of sailfish every trip and Marlin are thick out there as well, seeing one almost every trip, sometimes several. Dorado fishing has been pretty good as well, Mike didn't have time today to grab one as they spent the afternoon with this black, but on almost every other trip there have been big big ones out there! Check out this nice dorado from the other day below! Johnny has also been doing really good lately, been lots of big roosterfish snapper and snook around, check out the picture below of a nice Cubera that we got just 5 minutes from the dock. Great fishing, great weather and most importantly great catching, here in sunny Quepos Costa Rica!

February to April 2014

High season is here, and we are seeing double digit sailfish bites everyday offshore! Weather should be perfect, flat seas, no rain, make sure to bring sunscreen as it's going to be bright out there! We should still see some Marlin and Dorado as well, but the sailfish will be thick and it'll be hard to get the bait passed those aggresive and fast fish! Inshore there should be quite a few sardine schools around giving us the option of going after snapper and snook in addition to our monster roosterfish which we regularly catch. It'll be some great fishing and we're filling up quick!

I absolutely love questions, and even if you are just kicking tires or writing a paper for school, ask me anything at all about Costa Rica and I'll point you in the right direction! I have visited just about everywhere in the country at this point, and I'd love to share my experiences. Be careful though, after only one good trip here, I packed up the family and made the move. Who knows, maybe once you get here, you just won't want to leave:)

 

Who We Are:

Giving you the best fishing experience for your dollar, providing a top notch experience at both inshore and offshore fishing sportfishing in Costa Rica. We are very centrally located in the Manuel Anotnio / Quepos area of Puntarenas Costa Rica, only 45 minutes South of the Los Suenos sportfishing marina in Herradura / Jaco. We are also a short 30 minute drive from most of the Exquisite Vacation Homes located in the Dominical, Uvita, and Whale's Tale areas. Our main target species we sportfish for include Sailfish, Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, and Striped Marlin. We also catch other offshore and inshore species including Dorado, (aka dolphin, Mahi Mahi) yellowfin tuna, amberjack, snapper, and rooster fish.
